Banana – Strawberry Banana Soy Milkshake

Strawberry milkshakes have always been my favourite dessert. When picked fresh and blended just right, bananas and strawberries can create a creamy consistency just like a milkshake, but without the dairy!

In this recipe, I have used unsweetened soy milk as the base because the Banana Flavorall, strawberries and bananas add a perfect sweetness all on their own. Pre soaked chia seeds are added for their superfood quality. Chia seeds are jam packed with nutrients such as omega 3’s, protein, fibre, anitoxidants, and calcium. So feel free to indulge in this delicious healthy smoothie with the whole family!

 

Ingredients:

1 Banana

½ cup strawberries

½ cup organic unsweetened soy milk

¼ cup ice

1 teaspoon pre soaked chia seeds

1/2 Teaspoon Banana Flavorall

 

Garnish with crushed walnuts and chopped strawberries

Method:

 

** Soak chia seeds in a glass of water for at least 20 minutes or up to overnight before using

 

1. Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend for 10 – 15 seconds.

 

2. Garnish with crushed walnuts and chopped strawberries
