Preparing For The Weekend: 8 Ways To Stay On A Healthy Weight Loss Track

Welcome to the weekend. We bet you can’t love any working day more than Friday like us. Why? Because Saturday is just a day away. The day when you finally get some fresh work-free air to breathe after a long, tiring work weekend. You start making up Saturday dinner plans in your mind to eat out at your favorite restaurant, eating your favorite meal, and get that grill out of the basement for some Sunday family BBQ grilling.

Weekends mean time to let loose, so loose that you may deviate from your health and fitness regimen and lose control over your own weight. Weekends are supposed to let us treat ourselves, our way, but does it seem fair to lose it all that you’ve been working so hard for merely a weekend?

You don’t have to. The good news is you can stick to your healthy weight loss goals while continuing to lose pounds, and yet have an awesome weekend. All it takes is a little planning and willpower.

Using these weekend eating tips will help you stay right on track so that you don’t let the fitness empire you’ve been building for the whole week, fall.

Go Easy On The Wine

Don’t worry! We’re not asking you to go completely alcohol-free this weekend, but we don’t want you to
deviate from your weight loss goals. Go moderate on the alcohol!

Be Salad Savvy

Not necessarily an all vegetarian salad, but make sure that meat protein is being equally complimented by healthy veggies and fruits.

Avoid Fried Items

Go old school and grill this summer with your family like your dad used to when you were a child.

Practice Portion Control

Remember that how much we eat is equally harmful for our diet as what we eat. Have a balanced diet full of necessary calories, proteins and other essential nutrients.

Say No To Appetizers

What’s the point of taking appetizers before main course? These are additional meals that are no better than over eating. Bon Appetit!

Go Low On Sides

Eat that pizza, but avoid those extra mayo dips and cheese blasts siders that come along.

Go High On Proteins

Proteins are the building blocks of life. Every cell in the human body contains protein. Ensure a protein rich diet and prepare for the hard upcoming work weeks.

Share Your Dessert

Desserts symbolize happiness, and happiness feels best when it’s shared. Also, it saves you from a lot of sweet calories that come along with your favorite pie or ice cream.
