5. DIY Bath Bombs

What You Need:

  • 1 cup baking soda
  • ½ cup citric acid
  • ½ cup Epsom salt
  • ½ cup cornstarch
  • Colouring pigment – optional 
  • 2 ½ tablespoons of almond oil – or melted coconut oil
  • ¾ tablespoons of water
  • 12-15 drops of essential oil 
  • Bath bomb molds (or alternative)

  1. Mix all dry ingredients with coloring pigment.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix together the wet ingredients.
  3. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients slowly to avoid fizzing.
  4. Fill each half of the mold, press together firmly, and let sit for one minute. 
  5. Let the bath bombs dry for 24 hours before using them.

Note: If you don’t have bath bomb molds, don’t worry! You can also get creative with household items like cookie cutters, ice cube trays, and muffin tins. Even small measuring cups (⅓-¼ cup sizes) work great.
